The Power of Ho'oponopono

Ho'oponopono is one of the ways that Kanaka Maoli resolve issues.  By far, when revered, it is one of the most effective methods of conflict resolution, for all who are involved.  It is the healing of a painful or emotional situation that requires La'au Lapaiau or wise and unbiased Kupuna to lead.

Ho'oponopono is a process where each person involved is asked to sit on the mat and evaluate the events that have transpired and to look within oneself to determine what they could have done differently, as not to have arrived at a place where intervention was needed to resolve the issue.  It requires each of us to use the virtues that we have learned in life, and to erase the negativity from our hearts.  For one to refuse ho'oponopono, is viewed as equivalent to wanting hewa to continue.

Most of the time, people get so wrapped up in a moment of distress or emotional pain, that they are unable to calm themselves down to formulate a compromised solution to a given problem, and having to reflect upon the problem opens new solutions that they were unable to see in the past - for we all know that hind sight is 20/20.  This reflection can help us to learn how to prevent future tragedies within a relationship with our loved ones.  It gives us a sense that it is okay to be human and to understand that we will all make mistakes.  Ho'oponopono is as necessary as the sun and moon, for it brings balance and healing to our emotional well being.

Most cultures have a form of ho'oponopono and for centuries, it has worked around the world.  Modern day westernized countries use a court to do this.  What is not effective about this process is that it is very biased, beginning with the fact that if one doesn't have the fiduciary means to begin the process, one is left out in the cold.  The second reason that this often does not work, is that the courts are looking to point a finger at one party, and disregard the actions of the other, thus perpetuating the problem.  This can lead to retaliation and harbored resentment.  Thus the continuation of the initial problem - which most likely had a simple solution in the first place.

The power of Ho'oponopono can be amazing.  The healing and refreshed unity among those involved can have profound positive effects upon people for a lifetime.  It provides examples to our keiki and opio on how to handle matters in a positive and mature manner.

Clarification on Kanaiolowalu Claims

There are many roads toward our freedom and many kanaka on each road, trying to do what we understand to be the best possible solution for the future of our people. What we have to do as a people, is to make sure we help with the smaller battles, such as signing the petitions that we personally believe in, to research the information that we are unsure of, and participate in the surveys that are set forth to create the model of our future.

There are also many roads that we should beware of.  With this being said, it is our kuleana to help you further understand what's going on and to translate some of the terminology that has been set forth to confuse us.  There is much confusion, as there are so many who are taking this opportunity to cash in on lands, steal genealogies for fortunes and tell us of works that are supposed to help us, and are out for themselves.  We do not tell you to put your trust in any person, rather to read or listen to the information available to you, research it and think about it before making a hasty decision that could affect your ohana for generations to come.  Remember that what we do today, has profound effects on what the future of tomorrow will look like.
Follow your heart.  Listen to yourself before you listen to any of us.  Remember that a leader is only a leader, if we allow them to be a leader.  Reality is only what we allow it to be.

Our Kingdom may have experienced a closed door, but best believe that our Queen has made sure that the window was open.  If you do not understand all of the political drama that is going on, don't worry.  That is also why Team Freedom chooses Non-Affiliation.  We also reserve the right to not choose one faction.  As a matter of fact, we will only give you non-affiliated information.  Everything we present to you is information that has been determined to be helpful to us all.  If there is a document that is posted from a particular government or agency, it is a document that can be chopped down to size - suitable for you.
For instance, the posted material in the Declaration of Rights: you can chop it down to exclude what you do not agree with, but you cannot add to it, because that would change the origination of where it came from, and the Kingdom lawyers cannot back it up, for they are only delivered with the original document, which means that they cannot protect and uphold to what they don't know about.  Another reason for not adding to the documents is the opportunity of your being accused of plagierism. You do not want to add to our problems, rather use what you can, to resolve them.

Please feel free to inbox kanakafreedom@gmail.com with any question, comments, information, etc.   We are dedicated to not only the freedom of our Kingdom of Hawaii, but also the health, happiness and servitude toward our people.  This is by far, not a comfortable time in both our lives and nation.  While there are many fighting the freedom fight, many claim not to have the time to listen to our voices, for they are so wrapped up in the legislative battles.  Those battles are very lengthy and certainly time consuming.  This is why we are here.  We bridge that gap.  We are focused in all areas of the issues our people face, and will work with everybody, every faction, and will only utilize what applies to what you tell us.  We urge you to print, share or save what we post, however we are protected and will not tolerate plagiery.  Pilau is not an option when working toward the common unity of our Kanaka community.

The link below is the link to the process we do not want to enter, for it is an absolute abomination for our future.  This is the process that we hear referred to as the Roll Commission, Indian Recognition   and it ultimately finalizes our submission to the United States, giving them every right to complete the genocide that has begun long before 1893.

What we don't hear much of from the islands, is how badly the US has been and still is working towards the completion of the genocide against the Native Americans.  Why do you think that so many live off the reservations?  Just like the atomic testing that they have been doing for years, off our Pacific Coastline, they are killing the residents of the islands, knowing that what they're doing, only kills with long term effects.  Well, if America were to get rid of our people, they wouldn't have people that they genuinely refer to as the "Pineapple Nazi" on You Tube, and such mean things to say about our people when they return from vacation.  They come back to the mainlands and talk about Kanaka like dogs.  If they were to get rid of us, then they would have the ultimate free reign to complete the destruction of our islands and make even more money from vacationers, who would only see what they allow them to see, and not reality as it is.  That is why they had banned our language and ways of life for so long.  They only let it back in when they were sure that the truth couldn't successfully be known.  This is why we have so many road bumps in our genealogies.

For years, the US has determined that if they got rid of the Native American benefits and given us programs to get their form of modern education, we would all be forced to live in their way of life, would be self sufficient according to their terms, and forget about all that has always been rightfully ours and has been rotting away from us, while we lose everything to the struggle of being an American.  During this time, our blood lines continue to weaken, as did the Native Americans, and all the Native Programs begin to shut down - one by one.  This equates to more money for war... yahoo! right?  Soon, as we begin to blend in with western society, we wake up one day and realize that thousands of years of our existence just went down the drain, and we did nothing to stop it.  By then, it will be too late.

Please take a look at this site, confirm that what I have just written is true, and help others understand.  This is a good beginning for "Coffee Talks" and Ho'oponopono groups.

Kanaka Survey Monkey Series

Aloha mai kakou

We would like to share our current survey results to keep you updated on our progress.  We would like to thank those who have already filled them out and request that we all take a quick minute to do the survey.  It is 100% anonymous and does not tie anyone into any state process.  There are private funders who shall remain anonymous as well, who are only awaiting a budget proposal.

In order for those of us working to put these efforts in place, we must assure that we are accurate in our figures.  There are other surveys waiting to move forward as well.  These will build policies for proposed amendments,  and help the voice of our people to come alive.  If anyone requests more information, you are welcome to email kanakafreedom@gmail.com and we will provide our best answers.

The first survey is titled:
