15 Ianuali 2013

We have come a long way in this movement, further than we can understand, since things appear to be all over the place.  We may be a little discouraged about it, but let us relate what's going on, to what we can understand:  Have you ever cleaned your house early in the day, when you had somewhere to go that night?  It's 3:30pm and you have to leave by 6:00.  The kids are all over the place, your spouse hasn't come home from work yet.  As you tear through the closet, you notice that you are leaving a mess all over the room.  Your spouse comes home, just as you mess up the bathroom with your smell goods and grooming accessories.  The house looks a wreck according to your spouse, but you know that it is only a matter of cleaning up your clothes and putting away your products.  Sure, it looks messy, and you assure your spouse that this is only a momentary mess.  what do you think is going through your mate's mind?  Of course they think you're crazy, then you pick up all the clean clothes that you decided not to wear after all, and tidy up the bathroom.  All of this is cleaned up by the time they get out of the shower, and by the time they are dressed and ready to go, the kids are cleaned up, the house is tidy and it is only 5:00.  It appears that you made some miracle happen, but it was the looks that were deceiving.

This is about where we are in the movement.  Although things might not look so good, it is because we are getting ready to go in labor and are in the midst of birthing pains.  Kanaka, we don't have much time to salvage what's left, yet we don't have much further to go.  The real work that we have to accomplish is ho'oponopono amongst ourselves.  What is it going to take to see our people stop attacking each other?  when are we going to realize that when we close our door each night, we don't sleep with each other?  ..and if we are sleeping around like that, what is it going to take to learn how to respect ourselves?
Why would we disrespect one another, when we are already being disrespected by the other kine?  Are we not suffering enough?

Let's use our keiki for an example:  Mom tells lil Keoni to do the dishes, and he immediately goes into fight or flight mode, screaming that Anna didn't do the dishes last night.  In the meantime, mom tells Anna to clean her room and the first thing Anna does, is begin screaming that the dog made the mess and she doesn't have to clean it up.  What do you think we look like when we are in public forum yelling all over the place at each other?

What does it make us look like?  A bunch of immature fools!
How professional does it look when we are blocking one another so that we can deface one another?  You don't think that makes us look like a bunch of idiots?  How do we expect to have our nation back and what are we going to do once we do?  Yell at each other and continue the hewa?  Is it worth it?  Do we think that we look cute, putting all kinds of false accusations out there to look better than the next?

What's with the 50,000 factions of self-righteous government factions?  Do we all have to be Kanaka heroes?  And if we do, what color cape should we be wearing, so I can be the first one with a cape, and spread rumors that you copy catted me?  Even though I bought mine at the department store, where there were 1,000 just like it, how dare you buy the same one!

The final question here is:  What does one win by gaining popularity?  If you were to win the popularity contest among the Kanaka, what do you get from that?  Watching people fight for your attention?  We seem so proud to put one another down and call each other names, that it seems unanimous that when talking on the phone with other Kanaka, we all just want to get away from  one another.  So why are we fighting for the right to have our own country if we don't even like each other?  We can't be around one another without the phrase "E kala mai" being the vocabulary word of the day.  What's the point?

If we expect to be our own country, then we must begin to act like one.  Having the westernized form of government is not very healthy either.  What is the point in having political parties?  So this reminds people of how America does things:  call the country united, but fighting so badly over the lies that the other political party is telling?  This kind of behavior is no different than the current government system that we all despise.

Let us find ways to unite visibly.  Let us malama ka aina by picking up the litter around our areas, keep the sidewalks clean, our trash cans in order, and what not.  Support our Kanaka in every effort that we believe in and if we don't agree, a lack of support says it all.  We don't have to slander one another.  There is no reason for that.  What good did all the pilikia of the past bring us?  Did we accomplish anything?  Where did it get us?  So let us ponder our words and actions before we go there and cause our own selves more problems than we came for.  If you are out there slandering people, then expect for it to come back to you.  Remember:  what goes around comes around.  If you want a beautiful life, then why not be a beautiful person?  If you want people to like you, then be a person that people can like.

Let us remember the roots of where we came from and forget foolish pride, because foolish pride will get you nowhere.

We are Kanaka Maoli:  the finest people that the world has to offer.  Let's begin to act like that.  Aloha no, Kanaka Freedom

Proclamation: Declaration of Rights

Proclamation: Declaration of Rights
Written by:  Edmund Keli'i Silva, Jr

As I continue to unfold my destiny to restore the Kingdom of Hawai'i,  I am receiving input from the people.  In a recent survey of those who support the restoration of the Kingdom,  one question asked what concerns people had about the restoration.  One of the highest percentage choices - at 50% - was retaliation by the United States.

The level of this concern is a sad commentary on the reputation of the United States.  The concern is,  unfortunately, based on historical behavior towards political movements, individuals,  and foreign nations pursuing policies or goals contrary to what the United States defined as in the highest interest of the United States.

The Kingdom restoration movement is actually an opportunity for the United States to correct a historical injustice and improve their reputation.  There are those within the United States who understand and support that goal.  There are others who care not about their country's reputation and willingly pursue policies and practices that will only bring further disrepute upon their nation.

The survey concern and recent activities suggested the need for a clear statement about the rights of those pursuing restoration of the Kingdom.  all of the discussion below applies at both the individual level and the organizational level.  Actions taken to intimidate me or otherwise interfere with my exercising my function as King fall within the prohibited actions.

Many of you understand that the restoration of the Kingdom is a spiritual imperative carrying the potential for healing the Human Family and restoring harmony between the Human Family and the rest of the Natural World.  This statement will address the more mundane aspects of the restoration effort.

First and foremost,  by definition,  the movement to restore the Kingdom of Hawai'i movement is a political movement.

Many of the activities of this movement are carried out in the islands of Hawai'i, where the United States occupation continues and where the United States laws regulate the activities of the occupying power.

In this instance,  the most important regulatory provision is the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.  That amendment guarantees certain rights critical to any political movement to restore the Kingdom of Hawai'i.

Today,  speech has taken on many forms,  such as websites, blogs,  and social media that complement the traditional newspapers,  magazines,  and other such publications.  All of these media are protected under the First Amendment.

A recent United states Supreme Court decision extended First Amendment rights to corporations based on the court's finding that corporations are people for purposes of applying First Amendment protections.  Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, 588 U.S. 310 (2010).  This decision found limits on corporate contributions to political candidates to be an unconstitutional infringement on free speech,  equating money with speech.

This decision is applicable to those who contribute or consider contributing funds to the Kingdom restoration movement.  If money is speech,  then contributing money to a political movement is political speech.  Interfering with the ability of a political movement to receive funding would be a violation of the constitutional rights of both the movement and the donor.

Such interference can take the form of attempts to intimidate contributors,  attempts to intimidate financial institutions receiving and disbursing funds, and abusing official authority to prevent the movement from receiving funds.  Such interference can also take the form of asserting requirements that are not based in law.

To be specific on that last point,  the Patriot Act may apply to determining the bona fides of large contributions to the restoration effort.  Once the bona fides of the funds is established,  the provisions of that act cannot be used to prevent contributions to our movement from being made or received because the movement is not engages in any activities that violate that Act.

The goal of the restoration movement is the peaceful termination of the United States occupation of the Hawaiian Islands.  That goal is not the overthrow of the United States government.  Nor is it an attempt to secede from the United States.  Just as Poland regained its independence after World War II,  the Kingdom seeks nothing more than its rightful restoration to the community of independent nations.

The legitimacy of the restoration movement is confirmed by the Apology Resolution,  United States Public Law 103-150;  by the United states Congress considering partial restoration of the Kingdom through what was known as the Akaka Bill;  through enactments of the State of Hawai'i Legislature,  and numerous books and other publications discussing the history of the illegal overthrow and annexation of the Hawaiian Islands.  This movement began the day Queen Lili'uokalani was overthrown and continues today.

The restoration movement is further protected under the freedom of speech provision because the United states Supreme Court interpreted that amendment to include the freedom of association.  NAACP v. Alabama, 357 U.S. 449 (1958).  The Court specifically recognized that to make speech effective could require joining with others.  Those seeking restoration of the Kingdom of Hawai'i government have a constitutionally-protected right to join together for that purpose.

The First Amendment also protects the right of assembly.  Any actions taken to interfere with or otherwise disrupt gatherings seeking to further the restoration work would violate that provision of the United States Bill of Rights.

The protected nature of the Kingdom restoration movement,  whether we are discussing speech,  contributions,  association,  or assembly,  is quite clear and unambiguous.

There is further protection provided by United states laws.  For example,  title 18, U.S.C.,  Section 241,  Conspiracy Against Rights, makes it a crime to  "conspire to injure,  oppress,  threaten,  or intimidate any person of any state,  territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States,  (or because of his/her having exercised the same)."

Such protection is specifically applicable to actions by officers of the government.  Title 18,  U.S.C.,  Section 242,  Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law  ("This statute makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute,  ordinance, regulation,  or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges,  or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the United states.")  This same law applies broadly.

"Acts under 'color of any law'  include acts not only done by federal, state,  or local officials within the bounds of their lawful authority;  provided that, in order for unlawful acts of any official to be done under  'color of any law,'  the unlawful acts must be done while such official is purporting of pretending to act in the performance of his/her official duties."

I understand that there are elements within the United states government for whom the Constitution and laws are merely a façade behind which terrible and illegal acts are carried out.  I can only trust that those who do value that the rights of the movement to restore the Kingdom of Hawai'i are in no way abridged.

I am communicating the above reminder to those in the highest positions of the United States government,  to our supporters,  and to other interested parties domestically and internationally.

O wau ka i ho'opale i ka pono,

Hewa: Kupuna Disrespected

We are aware that there have been problems in the past with Kelea Lavy and her sister Maija Athena causing pilikia with many people.

Recently, they have returned to the scene and have been causing HEWA among our people again.  This message is a warning to all who are reading:

Maija works for the American government and Kelea does not have her LHG citizenship.  If they claim different, ask for proof.  They have multiple profiles that they openly admit to using to spy on Kanaka Maoli, to use to tear those people down.   Due to affiliation & activity with them, Bronson hasd lost his Kupuna blessing and shield of protecion and is in imminent danger of losing every ounce of credibility with everybody.  Don't let this happen to you.

In the past, they have seriously caused problems for many of our most respected kupuna and defaced those people.  This time, they are attacking Kahala Lei Azuma Maui and trying to abolish the Kanaka Maoli March on America.

In addition to what they are trying to accomplish with Kahala Lei, they have sent the message below,  to Anakala Jack and Maria Taylor this morning.  Maria Taylor is a wonderful peron, caretaker of one of our most respected kupuna of royal lineage.  Jack is currently fighting for his life and is one of the most instrumental kupuna to our future.

Understand that this is NOT the type of behavior of a leader.  This is not a vision of unity.  This is far beyond Kolohe.  This behavior cannot be tolerated.

Some of the "Spy Profile" names they use are:  Barry Levy, Ai Pokahu, Mikki Kam, Nalani Wu and there are a several others that I do not remember the name to.  They are using these profiles to deface other people, to spy on other people's personal pages, information, etc.

Here is the saddening message that our Jack & Maria had to wake up to:

Kelea K. Levy · Friends with Jack I'au'kea and 57 othersHey Maria, honest to god, I think you and Jack are fucking retarded, but I keep that within a really small group - like between me and my sister and a few of my best friends, all of whom were already convinced by you personally to already be retarded before we ever talked about you. I donʻt want other people to think youʻre retarded - I donʻt really care about or talk about you guys to anyone else. What would be the point? Itʻs not like youʻre some evil genius on the verge of taking over the world who people need to plot against or something like that. If I think youʻre saying something stupid or misinforming people and I see it, I always say so right out in public if I have time. Yes, youʻve seen that plenty of times, right?
Everything Iʻm saying is the truth. THEREFORE, you should think about questioning that source you got all this from. Somebody is lying to you.

27 December 2012

In this past month, we have come a long way.  We encourage you to continue being as active as you are, for unity will light the way.  We are now asking that the various factions of Hawaiian National Leaders come together to solidify matters.

Kanaka, we are stronger and wiser than many of us realize.  With that being said, we are also a race of pride.  Our work ethic gives us the pride we carry and we have to learn not to allow that pride to push us apart.  How many of us are proud to belong to the awesome families we come from?  Well, sticking together like a family, is what's going to make the difference. One general rule in our hale, one of the only two rules that will get you a spanking here, is that families are supposed to unite, not fight.  With that being said, if the kids fight in the community, each case will be dealt with on it's own accord.  However if the kids stand there while their sibling is getting beat up, or if they hurt each other, a sound whipping will follow.  We don't leave our o'hana out to left field to perish.  No matter how much they don't like each other.  They have permission to not like each other all day, but once a hate crime against a sibling ensues, the punishment will begin.  In this case, they have a strong foundation and a strong sense of family.  Being on a team or having national love is kind of the same way, in the essence that no matter how much we don't like each other, we should take the moment to help one another understand.  We should not be so quick to insult each other, rather to educate each other.. even if we only post a link for that person to teach themselves   The important part is that you led the family donkey to the water.  It is up to that donkey to drink.  However, if that person should be hurt in any way, we should be right there to put them back on track.  Does this sometimes require tough love?  Yes, but you have to remember to do it in love, and not where we are running around here suppressing each other, as if we're all not already going through enough of that.

Today while surfing the forums, I saw somebody's little girl chastising an adult.  Now to hear it written this way, one would normally say that this little girl was out of pocket. Au contrar, this little girl actually made sense!  How do we compete with a child chastising an adult and making more sense than most adults in the forum?  She called it like she saw it and held not her tongue.  It was obvious that she is very mature for her age.
I took the time to visit her page to find out that she is a young poet who speaks on political issues.  The girl can't be any older than eight or so.  What an amazing head she has on her shoulders!
How does that make us feel?  Most of the time, we can all be seen in some place, debating and some of us do it very nastily.

Beyond a chastising post, this is more of a wake up call for some of us to take inventory of our actions and spoken words.  How can we expect a whole country to change and corrections to be made on a national level, if we won't correct what is within our power to correct?

We can't be perfect, so the best thing we can do is to take that look at ourselves, spend some time praying or meditating over our reflections and moving forward with working on our internal lists one thing at a time.

This concerns me because sometimes, people are vicious when they're sick. People are vicious when they're fed up with being fed up... and it seems like we have a lot of that going on.

If we were to start somewhere, as a community,  what would be the most beneficial solution that we could do?  This is our country, our aina, our iwi, our kuleana, our kupuna & keiki, our o'hana, this is you and I.  This is our lives.  It's about time that we take control and make sure that we do it in a manner in which we will receive blessings.  Karma - the only way to get blessings is to be a blessing.  From what I hear, programs could be opening up soon, so we will need to hear from you, what would help you the most.

Please go on to have a safe & Happy New Year.  Remember that resolutions don't have to wait until New Year's Day to happen.  You can decide that you want better for you on any given day.  But here's the key:  You have to do it. You don't owe it to anyone else but yourself, to have a happy life.  Happiness is not getting everything handed to you, happiness is a choice you make.
Do you like where you are in life?  That's for you to know, but it doesn't mean that you can't appreciate what you do have.

!!!Happy New Year 2013!!!
Aloha Always,

Indigenous People's March on America

Simultaneous to the
Kanaka Maoli March on America
This march represents the
battles and voices
of all Natives alike.
From one corner of Mother Earth
to the other, Indigenous Peoples are
all fighting a similar battle against
the destruction of our lands,
crimes against humanities,
the voice of that young lady Neyda -
who was brutally murdered by law enforcement
while having a peaceful protest,
the voices of countless human rights
activists, who were not acting when
they demanded justice
and were killed.
We are the voices of the
Native American and Kanaka Maoli
who have been suffering at the hands of
corporate greed and industrialization
for over 400 years.
The voices of millions of Africans
that were slaughtered en route to their
horror filled destinies
of slavery and inequality,
and of all of those who sacrificed
their families and lives to
fight this battle.
The voices of the likes of Chief Spencer
who has spent her Holidays on a hunger strike
in order to make them listen to our
voices, when we say we want clean water.

On the 2nd of September 2013
we are calling you and yours out
to Washington DC
to march in solidarity
for we are
"Idle No More"
and we mean business
when we say for them to
end the acts of war.

Healthy Minerals that the FDA Hides from us

According to the FDA, they cannot recommend minerals nor will they look into which ones are best for us.  There are a few reasons why:

  • The FDA Food Czar is the former attorney and VP of Monsanto
  • Most of the FDA employees are former employees of Monsanto and are still quite active with the said company
  • The FDA allows and regulates what the insurances can and cannot authorize for the consumer.  Therefore, in order to keep these scientific pharmaceutical companies in full operation, the FDA must keep them in business.  To do this, doctors must prescribe x amount of the medications, in order to get whatever they want from the government, be it tax cuts or underhanded business deals.  In order to execute this plan, this is what the FDA must do:
    • only evaluate the nutritional data that the general public knows of, like certain vitamins.  After all, they need a hook, line and sinker to sell the chemically engineered foods, right?  This is how they develop the market.
    • They cannot evaluate the minerals, because that would encourage people to grow their own medicines, thus collapsing the selfish economy that was meant only for the wealthy to make it in. This does not mean that others do not have the opportunity to rise, but not all opportunities weren't created equal.
    • Whether the illness is man made or man spread, all illnesses have a "legitimized medication that is really expensive and we have decided what is good for you, because you don't know what is good for yourself.  Don't you self diagnose, that could be a number of things"  So all this time, you could have been growing a garden of all the medicines you need for your body type, and they are telling you - key words: they are telling you what is best for you. key point: how do they know you better than you know your own body? How many times have they waken up with you, as opposed to how many times you have waken up with yourself?

Now check out these alternatives and I can tell you from the personal experience of about a dozen people; myself included, that these purely natural remedies work.  If you're old enough, you remember the Book of 101 Natural Remedies that has been gone from the book shelves since around the Vietnam War Era.  This book told us things like:
  •  to take a 1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of organic cider vinegar each day to cleanse and alkaline our bodies; which means faster metabolisms and weight loss, and less or none heart burn.
  • to slice up an onion and put it in your socks while you sweat off a fever in your sleep; onions absorb germs very well
  • to wash your meat with a lemon/salt scrub before marinading it; which will kill most germs or impurities in your meat.
  • to use one cup vinegar instead of softener, in your laundry; which will decrease eczema, allergies, wrinkles and germs, and even take away the odors of cat urine and cigarette smoke!  Don't worry, when your clothes dry, the vinegar smell is gone.
  • to put a bowl of vinegar around your house; to absorb airborne odors and germs
  • to take a tsp of cinnamon each morning; which prevents cancer, diabetes and naturally lowers and regulates blood sugar levels
  • to boil ginger and lemon tea when you are getting sick
  • eat celery when you have the runs; it replaces lost electrolytes better than Gatorade and without the chemicals.
  • Ash Gourd - also known as winter melon or bitter gourd heals mouth cancer, when carbs are replaced with this vegetable it cures obesity, expels tapeworms, and relieves asthma, coughing and other respiratory ailments and when boiled in coconut oil, stops dandruff and promotes healthy shiny hair.
  • Milk Thistle has kept me off of the liver transplant list for 8 years now, and keeps me about an inch thinner, if I take 1 daily.
  • St John's Wort - also known as mugwort works wonders during the woman's cycle to regulate hormones and keep the peace.  It also works wonders in people with bipolar symptoms or manic depression.

Team Freedom Fights for Health

Protecting yourself from the harmful elements in today's environment can be quite challenging.  Since the introduction of western ways of colonisation have erupted our natural state of well being, we have been slowly turned away from traditional medicines to chemical compounds with ingredient lists that we don't understand.  What are the side effects?  One of the many concerns in our Kanaka world, is the growing number of health issues and what is considered Hawaiian food.  Personally, when I researched traditional Hawaiian food, I did not expect to find spam on the list.  Can you imagine watching a video on You Tube that showed 17th century Kanaka Maoli popping open a can of Spam and wrapping it in some caveman form of seaweed?  I guess we can go ahead and complete the picture of him making some deluxe meal from it over camp fire, as well!

Anyway, this blog is brought to you by Team Freedom and I guess that fighting for our freedom from the medical problems that are persistent amongst our people would also be a form of freedom fighting, now wouldn't it?

Much of the information posted in here is also available on the web, if you'll just google the name of the food and type in health benefits or side affects, you can usually find the info rather quickly.

(NaturalNews) Right on time; flu season is once again upon us, and no doubt you're already getting bombarded with calls to get your "flu shot" so you can be "protected" from this year's strain of influenza.

Well, you can do that if you choose, or you can take a more proactive approach to warding off the bugs and viruses this year by employing probiotics to help defend you.

What are probiotics? Simply put, it is the good bacteria that resides in your gut and battles infection caused by viruses, yeast, fungi and parasites. And it, like bad bacteria, is killed off with antibiotics, often leaving you more vulnerable for the next bug that comes along.

The issue is this: Antibiotics are over-prescribed these days. One of the most recent studies, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, found that doctors frequently misuse antibiotics when treating patients who have been hospitalized for respiratory tract infections. The study, published in the journal Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology, found that doctors at a pair of Pennsylvania hospitals were using antibiotics to treat patients with viral infections, which don't respond to such medications.

By comparison, according to a separate study in China, children aged three to five years old that were treated with two types of probiotics had a 63 percent lower rate of fever, a 54 percent reduction in cough, and a 44 percent decline in runny nose. Also, antibiotic use was reduced by a whopping 80 percent in children on the probiotics who had symptoms for about half the time of those on a placebo - 3.4 days compared to 6.5 days with the latter group.

The results led authors to conclude that consuming probiotics on a daily basis significantly reduced the incidence and length of respiratory infection symptoms in young children.

Probiotics are found in supplements and food (and not just yogurt, although that's a good place to start).

Here are five ways probiotics can help protect you and yours this flu season:

-- Digestive health. We have more than 1,000 different types of bacteria that live in our digestive tracts. In fact, bacteria in our bodies outnumber human cells ten to one. Yet when we take an antibiotic, they kill the healthy intestinal flora that helps us digest, in addition to the sickness-causing bacteria. "As a result, doctors commonly prescribe taking probiotics to 'repopulate' the digestive tract with healthful bacteria," the Huffington Post reported. But probiotics can also help with other digestive issues, such as irritable bowel syndrome

-- Urinary tract health. According to research, probiotics - especially lactobacilli - have been successful in treating recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI) in women. "...[I]f you could replace the Lactobacillus in women with recurrent urinary tract infections, you might normalize the vagina and prevent infections," says researcher Dr. Thomas M. Hooton, a professor of clinical medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. "So there is as push to develop non-antibiotic methods to prevent and treat infections."

-- Keep those allergies at bay. Hay fever? Cats? Dust? Mold? Research suggests that probiotics could help prevent or reduce the severity of allergies. A team of Finnish researchers at the University of Helsinki found that "exposing pregnant mothers and infants to probiotic bacteria could help stimulate the growth of the immune system and potentially play a role in preventing allergies," ABC Newsreported in 2008.

-- Improving women's health. Probiotics have found L. acidophilius may help reduce the incidence and severity of bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections, when taken as a vaginal suppository (rather than consumed in foods).

-- Improve your immune response. One of the main functions of healthful bacteria is to stimulate your immune response. "By eating probiotic-rich foods and maintaining good intestinal flora, a person can also help to maintain a healthy immune system," HuffPo reported, citing small-study research.

Probiotics can also help you maintain a healthier weight.
